We rescued Cyrus Feb 2023 at 9 weeks old. He turned 1 in November. He is a lab/shepherd mix. Cyrus is VERY sweet and loves people, is energetic, and wants to play. As he grew older we realized he is anxious. On leash he started to become reactive to other dogs and less occasionally people that got very close. We have had 3 rounds of training with him including a month of board and train. He is a great learner and knows many commands. He is still reactive on walks and given he is strong, we have to be vigilant.Recently at the house he became reactive to SOME strangers (unpredictable). When able to manage the situation with treats and distractions there are no issues. We had 2 incidents where my wife's hand got bit grabbing him when he is worked up around strangers. Given we have a very active household with 3 kids, play dates and lots of traffic we cannot manage keeping him. Lately he has been away from our chihuahua who exasperates his anxiety, and his behavior has improved.
