Tyra is a three year old, 55 pound lab mix that came from a town in TN that doesn’t have a shelter, so a citizen built one and funds it on her own, and has sent thousands of dogs to rescues for adoption. Where they are located there is not a lot of opportunity for adoption, so there were several dogs that had been there a while that we said we would help with. Tyra had been there for 7 months and needed a break. Recently she lucked out with a foster home and she is doing well. She is housetrained and good in the house, and will stay in a crate but doesn’t love it. She is good with the foster’s dogs, but prefers to avoid her dogs that are hyper and “in-your-face.” She is very sweet and loving, but lacks confidence. Slow and easy is the way for Tyra.
